I am a qualified Complementary Therapist, experienced in Reflexology and Body Massage. From a health and wellbeing perspective you may be thinking about changing your diet, exercising more regularly or maybe finding more time in your busy schedule to just relax and rejuvenate.
I work from my relaxing Therapy Room at home. I live in a quiet peaceful setting, surrounded by nature and 5 mins from Ironbridge a World UNESCO heritage site. Ideally placed for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. My services are ideal for those with an active or busy lifestyle who want to relax and forget about life for while! My place is easily accessible from Ironbridge, Bridgnorth, Telford, Much Wenlock, Shifnal, Shrewsbury.
I offer Reflexology and a range of Massage Therapies including Full Body, Back Massage, Indian Head Massage and Facial Massage. I am also qualified to use aromatherapy products in my treatments to further enhance the relaxation process. Whilst all these therapies are aimed at a relaxing and de-stressing the body and mind they are also considered to have therapeutic benefits.
Having worked in the highly stressful corporate business world for most of my adult life, I have first hand experience of the pressures of a busy work schedule, as a result I became interested in finding ways to alleviate the effects of this stress on the mind and body which eventually led me to studying and practising physical therapies and related spiritual practices, such as mindfulness and meditation. More and more people are realizing the importance of achieving the right balance between work, exercise, play and relaxation and more importantly, making time for themselves in an effort to reduce their stress levels.
In my view a variety of conditions, disease or even feelings of anxiety or unease are caused by the effects of undue stress on the mind and body. I believe that regular practices to help relax the body and mind may reduce the likelihood of disease from developing. Reducing stress through relaxation helps the body to rejuvenate and heal. This is the main aim but there are also many other benefits.
